Life's Changes

February 10, 2021

When you are facing life’s changing events, events that you have never faced before, fear grabs us right in the heart. Roads not traveled leaves an uneasy feeling.

For example, I just found out my son is gay, or my daughter is pregnant, my wife or husband has found someone else. Your list could be endless, or it could be as simple as your car breaking down. What mechanic do I trust? How much will it cost me? Life is filled
with a need for answers. The book of Proverbs is God’s gift to us. If you read one chapter a day you can read through the book of Proverbs twelve times in one year. I promise you it will be wisdom for the heart.

Examine Your Focus

February 3, 2021

Gary entered my office discouraged, angry looking for answers that seemed to avoid him. He and his wife had come to the crossroads, he had had enough! What’s next? Gary had spent a lot of money trying to rehab his wife. Preacher why does God allow this, why does God seem so unconcerned? After prayer and tears we began the process of biblical healing. He was weak, she was afraid of the future, can we change was the question.
Change came slowly as they talked to each other openly, candidly. Gary opened his heart to Jesus Christ and his wife followed in faith six weeks later. God does have the answer even if you don’t. Be faithful to trust!

What in the World?

December 31, 2020

Have you ever started your day with this thought, “What in the world is going on?” No one could have imagined that in 2020 our lives would change so dramatically. Shutdowns, Covid-19, riots and violence welcomed us each night on the nightly news. What’s next? Our politics have taken a course toward socialism. What’s next? Homosexuality continues to grow on a rapid pace and the church as a whole is becoming more and more neutral on the subject. What’s next? As believers in Christ, we must stand for biblical virtues
and values. God is still God. He is absolutely in control. What’s next? The rapture of the church where every true believer will be taken up to meet our Lord. The most serious question is “Am I ready to meet Him?” (I Thess. 4:13-18)
